ConsenSys India Blockchain Hackathon India's Biggest Ethereum Hackathon

ConsenSys, the world’s largest blockchain firm, and NITI Aayog are proud to present India’s biggest Ethereum Blockchain Hackathon – ConsenSys India BlockchainHackathon’18 - at IIT Delhi from July 13 - 15, 2018.

Mentors and judges include Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin, Casper developer Karl Floersch, uPort co-founder Christian Lundkvist, Ujo founder Jack Spallone, Viant co-founder Kishore Atreya and many more! Top performers will get a chance to explore synergies with ConsenSys!

Agenda

July 12th

  • 11 am – 5 pm: Ethereum Foundation Workshop with Karl Floersch and Justin Drake
  • 6 pm – 8 pm: Registration for ConsenSys India Blockchain Hackathon’18

July 13th

  • 10 am: Hackathon begins! (The Hackathon will go on for 36 hours)
  • 1 pm – 2pm: Lunch
  • 7 pm – 8 pm: Dinner

July 14th

  • 1 pm – 2pm: Lunch
  • 7 pm – 8 pm: Dinner
  • Hackathon continues until 10 pm

July 15th

  • 10 am – 12 pm: Top 10 teams make a 5-minute elevator pitch for their solutions before the Hackathon Judges
  • 12 pm – 3 pm: Award Ceremony

Themes

Participants are required conceptualize a Blockchain-based solution around one of the themes listed below. The ConsenSys mentors for each theme will be available during the Hackathon to help participants realize their vision:

Criteria for Evaluation

1. Novelty

  • Newness of Idea
  • Implementation Feasibility across India

2. Impact

  • Impact on Operational process, Customer experience, Stakeholders etc. (Incremental vs. Disruptive)

3. Complexity

  • Efforts in implementation & change management
  • Regulatory environment support

4. Team Credentials

  • Previous proof of concept & Implementation experience
  • Level of understanding of industry of interest

Team Size: 2-4 individuals. Teams cannot have more than four members. Shortlisted teams will receive an email communicating the Hackathon rules, regulations and a detailed agenda on 6th July 2018.
